Arithmetic functions in SQL Server



SQL Server provides arithmetic functions to perform various mathematical operations. These functions  takes  input values and returns numeric values based on the type of operation. Mathematical functions operates on numeric data such as decimal, integer, float, real, smallint, and tinyint.

Following are the arithmetic functions available in SQL Server:

·         Average – AVG()

·         Sum – SUM()

·         Count – Count()

·         Maximum – MAX()

·         Minimum – MIN()

·         Round Off – ROUND()

·         Floor – FLOOR()

·         Ceiling – CEILING()

·         Absolute – ABS()

·         Power – POWER()

·         Square Root – SQRT()
